Composition:
Norfloxacin : 500 mg
Tinidazole : 500 mg
Description: Nflox Tz is an
very effective combination of Norfloxacin and
Tinidazole which is effective against many aerobic
and anaerobic bacteria.
Norfloxacin is a flouroquinolone antimicrobial
agent with potent activity against a broad spectrum
of gram- positive and gram- negative bacteria
including Ps. aeruginosa, Enterobacteriaceae
and Staph. aureus. Norfloxacin does not disturb
normal anaerobic intestinal flora and has significant
post–antibiotic effect & thus prevents
regrowth of bacteria.Tinidazole is an Metronidazole
congener and has broad spectrum cidal effect
against protozoa, including Giardia lamblia.
It does not affect aerobic bacteria and is used
in the treatment of susceptible protozoal infections
and anaerobic bacterial infections.
Indications: Nflox Tz is used
in moderate to severe systemic infections which
includes
· G.I infections like diarrhoea and dysentery
of amoebic bacterial and mixed causes and appendicitis.
· Post operative infections after abnormal/
gynaecological operations.
· Lung infections like bronchectasis,
lung abscess, empyema, cystic fibrosis.
· Acute or chronic bone and joint infections
especially of foot.
· Diabetic infections.
· Infections in imunocompromised patients.
· Pateints taking steroids and anticancer
drugs or antimetabolites.
· Infections in immunocompromised patients.
Contraindications: Hypersensitivity.
Not recommended for use in children adolescents
hactation.
Paediatrics: Safety not established.
Pregnancy: Contraindicated.
Lactation: Drug passes into
breast milk may affect the infant adversely.
Dosage: 1 tablet twice a day
after food.

in a Multicarton.
