Composion:
Each Tablet contains:
Ibuprofen : 400 mg
Paracetamol : 333 mg
DESCRIPTION:
DT-IBUFLAM combines the above two ingredients.
Ibuprofen is a non- steroidal anti-inflammatory
agent & possesses analgesic and anti-inflammatory
activities. Controlled studies have demonstrated
that Ibuprofen is a more effective analgesic than
propoxyphene for the relief of episiotomy pain,
pain following dental extraction procedures and
for the relief of the symptoms of primary dysmenorrhoea,
Ibuprofen is rapidly absorbed when administered
orally. Peak serum Ibuprofen levels are generally
attained in one or two hours of administration.
There is no evidence of drug accumulation or enzyme
induction. Paracetamol is the main metabolite
of phenacetin, without the side effects of phenacetin.
The efficiency of paracetamol as an analgesic
and antipyretic is equivalent to that of acetylsalicylic
acid, but it has no anti-inflammatory properties.
Paracetamol has no effect on the prothrombine
time and does not appear to produce significant
changes in the gastric mucosa, paracetamol is
rapidly and almost completely absorbed from the
gastrointestinal tract following oral administration.
Peak plasma levels occur in about ½ to
2 hours after administration. Approximately 20%
to 50% is bound to plasma proteins and is metabolised
in the liver largely to glucoronide and sulfate
conjugates and eliminated in the urine.

arthritis and osteoarthritis.
