Description:
Vibel forte injection is a potent Vitamin B-Complex
injection. It is therapeutically and prophylactically
useful for the nerve disorders, muscles disorders,
and lack of vitamins.
Indications: - (A) THIAMINE
HYDROCHLORIDE: - The Thiamine is fundamentally
associated with carbohydrate metabolism. By combining
with the pyrophosphoric acid in nucleated cells
particularly in the liver, kidneys and WBC, it
is converted in the body to its pyrophosphate,
which acts as a coenzyme in such reactions as
the decarboxylation of – ketoacid. The outstanding
example of its effective use in in the treatment
of beriberi in which there is a gross deficiency
not only of thiamine but also of other factors
of Vitamin B-Group. There is some evidence that
neuritis associated with pregnancy and the neuritis
of pellagra is attributable to thiamine deficiency.
The usual therapeutic dose is 10 to 100 mg per
day by mouth or if necessary by intramuscular
injection.
(B) RIBOFLAVINE 5 PHOSPHATE: - Riboflavin
is inactive until phosphorylated flavones mononucleotide
and flavine adenine dinucleotide are its active
forms and these are involved as coenzymes in the
respiratory chain and in oxidized phosphorylation.
There is a little evidence that riboflavin of
therapeutic value expect in the treatment of ariboflavinosis,
for which doses of 2 mg to 10 mg daily are given
according to the severity of the condition.
(C.) PYRIDOXINE HYDROCHLORIDE: -
Pyridoxine, pyridoxal, and pyridoxamine, which
occurs in food stuff are collectively know as
Vitamin B6 as a nutritional supplement it is usually
employed in conjunction with other vitamins of
B-Group.
(D) NIACINAMIDE: - Niacinamide
produces improvement in the mental, dermal &
alimentary manifestation of pellagra but neurological
symptoms may need prolonged treatment and the
concomitant use of other vitamins of B-Group.
(E) D-PANTHENOL: - D-Panthenol
is the alcoholic analogue of pantothenic acid;
it is readily converted to the acid when administered
internally. It has given intramuscularly id doses
of 250 to 500 mg to prevent or control gastro
intestinal atony.
Adverse effects: - All the
ingredients of Vitamin B-Complex injection are
well tolerated in the therapeutic dosage form;
administration of large doses by intramuscular
route may cause anaphylactic shock.
Dosage: 1 to 2 ml according to the need of patient
IM or Slow I.V.
