Composition:

Each tablet contains:
Paracetamol: 500 mg
DESCRIPTION: Lanidol has analgesic
and antipyretic action with
weak anti inflammatory activity. These effects
are related to inhibition
of prostaglandin synthesis. It has central analgesic
action like aspirin i.e. it raises pain threshold.
It is a good and promptly acting antipyretic.
Paracetamol does not stimulate respiration or
acid base balance and hence does not increase
cellular metabolism. It is an analgesic- antipyretic
of choice especially in patients in whom salicylates
or other NSAIDs are contraindicated. Such cases
include asthmatics.It also do not results in
gastric irritation or mucosal erosion at therapeutic
doses .So peptic ulcer patients and in whom
salicylates are not used because of the risk
Reye’s syndrome paracetamol is a safe
drug to use.
Indications: It provides temporary
relief from pain of headache, cold,
pain of flu, muscleache, backache, toothache,
reduction of fever & for
temporary relief of minor arthritis pain.
Special precautions: Renal
and hepatic impairment.
Paediatrics : Safe.
Pregnancy : Safe.
Lactation : Safe
Adverse effects: Side effects
of paracetamol are rare and usually mild
although hematological reactions including thrombocytopenia,
leucopenia,
pancytopenia, neutropenia and agranulocytosis
have been reported. Skin rashes
and other hypersensitivity reactions occur occasionally.
It can cause nausea and
epigastric distress. Acute toxicity may result
in hepatic failure.
Side effects: Nausea, Rashes,
leucopoenia are rare.
Dosage: 1 Tablet three times
a day.

in a Multicarton.
