Dexamethasone Sodium phosphate is a very potent
and highly selective glucocorti coid long acting
causes marked pituitary adrenal suspension, but
fluid retention and by hypertension are not a
problem. It meets any emergency with intensified
potency and strikingly rapid corticosteroid action
this ensuring speedy reversal of the situation
in the patients favour.
Composition: - Each ml contains
Dexamethasone phosphate- 4 mg.
Indications: - Allergic reaction,
pre & post operatively, Acute stage of infections,
poisoning, adrenocortical insufficiency, shock,
acute dermatological disorders, rheumatic disorders,
ophthalmologic disorders.
Contra-Indications: - Renal
failure, diabetes mellitus, psychosis, osteoporosis,
pregnancy, CHF, tuberculosis & other systemic
infections.
Dosage: 4x 20 mg daily by
IV/IM route.
